As a shareholder in the firm, Attorney Dave Burbridge specializes in Estate and Special Needs Planning, using his expertise to help clients preserve their wealth and pass assets to their beneficiaries in the most appropriate and tax-efficient manner. Attorney Burbridge is deeply committed to advising families of individuals with special needs, working closely with those families in seeking governmental services and securing benefits through the use of Supplemental Special Needs Trusts and other tools.

EXPERIENCE: Prior to establishing Knudsen Burbridge, P.C., Dave was a partner in the Andover law firm of Dalton & Finegold, LLP, where he served as head of the estate planning group. Prior to joining Dalton & Finegold, Dave was a partner at Clark, Hunt & Embry, the largest law firm in the city of Cambridge. Dave became the youngest partner in the firm’s history and worked with a team of professionals holding more than twenty-five years of experience in disability law and advocacy. Prior to joining Clark, Hunt & Embry, Dave served as an Assistant District Attorney in Middlesex County.

EDUCATION & LICENSING: A cum laude graduate of Tulane University Law School, Dave was a member of the National Moot Court Trial Team, and Class President. Attorney Burbridge previously earned degrees in both Public Communications and Business at Syracuse University. Dave is admitted to practice before the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts, the United States District of Massachusetts, the United States First Circuit Court of Appeals, and in the State Courts of New Hampshire.

MEMBERSHIPS: Attorney Burbridge is a member of WealthCounsel, a leading association of estate planning attorneys. Dave served on the board for Manchester-Essex Little League, on the Town of Essex Finance Committee, and on the Boards for CLASS/Greater Lawrence Arc and Emmaus Road Ministries. Dave currently serves as the Director of Men’s Ministry at First Presbyterian Church in Ipswich.

PRESENTATIONS: In addition to presenting to numerous Parent Advisory Council meetings, Dave has presented to such groups as Friends of LADDERS; Beverly School for the Deaf; The Arc of East Middlesex; Minuteman Arc; and The Arc of the South Shore.

PERSONAL: Dave boasts two first-generation American sons, Aidan and Dylan. In his spare time, Dave likes riding his road bike and falling off his mountain bike. He also loves skiing, reading, coffee, and great IPAs.
