Attorney Jim Moynihan currently concentrates his practice in trusts and estates litigation and commercial litigation. Attorney Moynihan provides comprehensive consultation on estate administration, business litigation, business transactional and corporate matters, including entity formation, with an emphasis on obtaining tax-exempt status for non-profit organizations.
EXPERIENCE: Having owned and operated a small business prior to attending law school, Attorney Moynihan enjoys helping business owners achieve their strategic goals. While in law school, he clerked for judges in both the Trial and Appellate Divisions of the Massachusetts State District Court. Prior to joining Knudsen Burbridge, P.C, Jim worked at the Beverly law firm of Colucci Norman LLP.
EDUCATION & LICENSING: Attorney Moynihan received his received his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law, and his bachelor’s degree in English from Colgate University. While interning at Greater Boston Legal Services, Jim earned a rare opportunity to represent a client on a challenging case before an administrative law judge of the Social Security Administration. Jim is admitted to practice before the Supreme Judicial Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
MEMBERSHIPS: Serving on the board of directors for the Beverly Chamber of Commerce, Attorney Moynihan also chairs the Business Education Committee, which holds seminars throughout the year designed to help business owners grow their businesses and improve their bottom lines. Attorney Moynihan is also a member of the Essex County Bar Association.
PERSONAL: Jim lives in Hamilton, Massachusetts, with his wife and their four children. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, and coaching youth sports.
